Canine Frontier Class Schedule
Canine Frontier is currently offering our fun Puppy Positive group class for young puppies. This group class is 5 weekly sessions on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. and is taught by Laurel and Dawn. This course covers basic puppy training such as focus and attention, loose leash walking, socialization, sits, downs, jumping up and polite greetings. We also offer AKC Star Puppy testing, which can be done at the end of the 5 week session. The classes include weekly handouts along with access to online videos to help you practice your puppy’s training at home. Classes are located at Mantayo Kennels and Dog School, 1220 S. Wadsworth, in Lakewood.
Canine Frontier also offers a comprehensive puppy prep session in-home if you are within our distance range, or virtually if you are outside of our distance range. This session covers your puppy’s first day at home, and includes house training, puppy development, puppy nipping, daily routines and requirements, and how to train your puppy with Positive training, and includes handouts for reference.
We also offer a one-on-one Positive puppy course, which is 6 weekly sessions either in-home or virtually, depending on your distance range. This course covers basic training, such as focus and attention, loose leash walking, sits and downs, jumping up and polite greetings, socialization and more. Included in this course are weekly handouts for each session, handouts for other specific training such as crate training and puppy nipping, as well as access to online videos that demo the training you are learning in the course.
Do you have a newly rescued puppy or older dog that you would like to do some training with? We offer a one-on-one Positive Dog training course, which is 6 weekly sessions either in-home or virtually, depending on your distance range. For your newly rescued dog, this course covers helping your rescue dog settle into your home, and any basic training that your dog may need such as focus and attention, loose leash walking, house training, sits and downs, jumping up and polite greetings, socialization, and other specific behaviors that your dog may need help with.
Do you have an adolescent dog that needs more training? Then our one-on-one Positive Dog training course may be just for you! This course is 6 weekly sessions either in-home or virtually, depending on your distance range, and covers more advanced training or refreshes previous training which includes being calm and settling down in exciting situations, loose leash walking, polite greetings, waits and stays, and more!
Please note that our virtual training is for everyone, and isn’t limited to being outside of our distance range. We use Zoom, which enables us to talk with everyone, from individuals to the entire family, face to face in virtual person. Using Zoom, we can watch you in live action training with your puppy/dog, and coach you as you are actually working with them. Along with your individual real time instruction, we will email you written “handouts” specially designed to explain everything you are covering in each session as an easy reference in addition to our YouTube video homework.
And, of course, everyone has access to our YouTube Channel with lots of training videos in which we demonstrate all the training that you are learning in our classes and our in-home training, and more!
